It Just Keeps Getting Worse

Man accused of recording and sexually assaulting and drugging his severely burned girlfriend as she lay dying.

Sometimes the stories are just almost too insanely brutal to fathom. This is certainly one of those. This man, Juan Lopez, is accused of not only not seeking medical attention for his 23 year old girlfriend who was burned over 80%-90% of her body, but also finding multiple illegal drugs to give her all while filming himself engaging in sexual battery with her lifeless burned body. She would later be pronounced dead, and his cell phone search history and videos taken, would be discovered. This is so brutal. Lopez claims that his girlfriend was cleaning cat urine with rubbing alcohol when a lit candle ignited the fumes, causing the burns.

Honestly, this story is so awful that I don’t even know which charitable route to take here. Sadly this woman suffered from domestic violence, deadly burns and sexual assault all within this one incident. I’m sure their relationship involved further horrors.
